CAVEATS!
...You mean there's a catch?...
Yup, there's a few catches...
#1: This project (the acquisition of the buses) is being done by Matthew alone... not through one of the organisations mentioned. This means, if you were considering throwing help in monetary or other form his way, he cannot issue you a tax receipt.
Now, on that note... both groups have said they will accept the buses as a GIFT (not a donation) from Matthew... this means he will not financially benefit from the buses going to these groups personally... his personal interest is the third bus ONLY. Matthew ALSO guarantees that the two buses and/or any assistance he receives will go ONLY to those two groups mentioned... he will not profit from this project at all personally save the acquisition - personally - of the third bus. You can have this in writing... but it's here too and Google will "cache" it for future reference... He will NOT breach this promise.
#2: Although PSICAN has said it will use the bus for this purpose, we have to assume that the seller is honest about the condition of the buses. Should they become too heavy a financial burden for EITHER group, both groups have the option to re-sell or give the buses away themselves... with the promise that a "preservationist" would be their first choice for a potential new owner.
#3: Both groups (and Matthew and his family) will have sole ownership of the buses to do as they deem fit. This means if someone wanted to help with a provision of being able to use the buses, drive them, or advertise them, they would need to get permissions from their new owners... and not at this acquisition/project phase.
#4: Although we aren't ASKING for donation or monetary assistance, if any should come in (with the acknowledgement of the caveat about tax receipts) that money WILL ONLY BE USED for the acquisition of the buses... nothing else. SHOULD the buses become unavailable, all money(s) will be divided TWO ways and GIVEN to the two groups mentioned for their other efforts.
Those are the "caveats"... take them for what they're worth... I hope you are still interested in helping with ideas, thoughts, or whatever!
