Kooky Scheme! Advertise across North America on our buses!

...You're planning on driving these buses across North America?...

NOPE! We're not planning on driving the buses across North America... but they WILL have to travel across the continent to get to their new home!

...and in doing so, they will be QUITE a site!

You see, they will need to come via a flat-bed truck.

Yup, you read that right...

ALTHOUGH the buses are said to be running (at least, when they were last parked,) it's a given they will need serious work and a tune up. Driving them across the country would be very damaging...

So, picture this...

A "convoy" of three flat bed trucks all hauling double-decker buses.

This MIGHT attract a wee bit of attention, no?

SO... here's the thought...

Imagine using the existing "ad space" on the buses DURING this trip... Your ad on the buses as they make their way from California, USA to Toronto, Canada!

That's a lot of coverage for an ad... and a lot of territory it would be seen in... and a lot of highways it would be on... and who wouldn't look?

The question I have for you...

Is this worth $51,000.00 USD? That's $17,000.00 per bus!

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! (I've always wanted to say that...)

Think of the other part of this... you'd be able to say you not only had the great advertising BUT assisted two groups AND a family doing it!

Now, that's a good thing... I hope...

So, here's the deal...

MY PROPOSAL to interested parties...

SHOULD ANYONE OUT THERE be willing to say, "YES! If you get the buses and arrange shipping, we will front the money ($51,000.00 USD) to purchase the buses plus the ad expenses if you will place our advertising on the buses in California and leave it on the buses and visible until at least 48 hours after it arrives in Toronto.", I will try to "nail down" the sale ASAP... perhaps by May or June 2006... or sooner!

Now, here's the rules for my offer...

#1: We will not advertise pornographic, obscene, or "sexual content" businesses or those connected with the sex industry.

#2: Any advertisement MUST be compatible with general community standards within North America.

#3: The advertisement must fit the "Upper Side Panels" of the bus (see image below...) There is space for two of them... one on each side of the bus...

#4: We reserve the right to not accept an ad or business interested in this offer without qualifications for that refusal.

#5: The "buyer" (advertiser) does not "own" the bus nor has any claim to ownership... just the claim to the panel ads placement and exposure during transport to Toronto from California and a minimum of 48 hours after it arrives in Toronto... as mentioned... and 'advertising' of the purchase and shipping of the bus for their own publishing purposes.

#6: The "buyer" (advertiser) guarantees that once the current owner agrees to the purchase, they will wire the funds for the ad (minimum of $51k USD) to an agreed on bank account for the final purchase within three business days.

#7: The "buyer" (advertiser) realizes that we will do our best to ship ASAP, but it may take a few months once all elements are agreed to and looked after.

#8: The "buyer" (advertiser) accepts that the current owner of the buses may NOT wish to sell which null and voids the sale of the advertising space and does not constitute a breaking of the sales contract or any liability of our own (or Matthew's) (...this is why until a "deal is struck" with the current owner, there will be no transfer of money(s)... for your protection and our own.)

#9: The physical printing of the ad will be the responsibility of the "buyer" (advertiser). All costs of printing of the ad will be the responsibility of the "buyer" (advertiser). Accuracy and issues with said ad will be the sole responsibility of the "buyer (advertiser).

#10: Although we will do our best to ensure the ad stays on the bus and all and the "buyer" (advertiser) can also make plans to ensure the panel ad is affixed properly, I cannot guarantee that bad weather or other conditions will maintain that ad... Ergo: As long as the ad is fixed properly and the vehicle is not in any accidents, it'll be fine... but I cannot be held responsible if something should happen en route or on arrival in Toronto.

#11: The advert must NOT be "burned", "scarred", "etched", or otherwise indelibly marked into the buses. Although a "paint job" would be acceptable on the one panel... provided the "buyer" (advertiser) realizes that after 48 hours of the buses arrival in Toronto, we reserve the right to remove/re-paint the vehicle.

#12: If any potential "buyer" (advertiser) wishes to offer more than $51,000.00 USD before May 24th, 2006, the offer will go to them. We will not mention "who" they are against for the advertising opportunity or exactly "how much"... but we're a capitalists at heart and hey, if we can offer the groups a few dollars to help maintain the buses, we'd love to!

#13: The "route" of how the buses will be shipped will be left to the company/person responsible for the actual job of shipping the bus... no one else.

#14: The banner ad MUST be shipped at the "buyer" (advertiser) expense to the current site of the vehicle within two weeks of the purchase being made. Any later and there are no guarantees of the ad being posted on the bus at time of departure.

#15: Once the buses are purchased, there will be NO REFUNDS to the "buyer" (advertiser).

So... what do you think? Interested? Wanna help a bunch of people AND get a little advertising for your company?

If so, please let me know at [email protected].

I promise to respond/reply to ALL e-mails within 72 hours...
