Online Surveys. Do They Really Pay?

A few weeks ago I signed up for several online surveys. To date I have only heard from one, which is SurveyLion.com

The survey sent was for $3.00 US and was easy to complete.

However, I have not heard from any of the others at this point.

Have you tried out these online surveys? How has it worked for you? Any advice? Do they actually pay?

I haven't done this in a while, so I can't really point you in the right direction...but when I was in college I did some of this. You won't get rich, and you won't pay the rent, or even the bills, really, but you will be able to come up with some beer money if you want.

I did NPD Online Research for years - they offered 5 $100 prizes, or some other gifts that would randomly be given to members who completed the surveys. I did them all for years and never won a darn thing. Stupid surveys too - a total waste of time.

The only one that has earned me points that I have gotten cash in my paypal is Lightspeed panel at www.lightspeedpanel.com
It takes a little time, but I've cashed in at least four times!
Nothing else has come even close.

I've been doing surveys with Global Test Market (www.globaltestmarket.com) and have cashed in once so far for $60. Mind you, I didn't qualify for a lot of surveys so it was probably a few months worth of random surveys, but they pay out, thats for sure. I've also been on the Zoom Panel surveys, I don't suggest those so much. They have the "random prizes" but I think they're rigged so no-one wins.
